Development Matters – Help Us Work for Rural America

September evokes myriad images: the turn towards autumn, the approaching harvest, a new school year. Perhaps it was growing up on a farm, perhaps it was those years I played football, or all those years that I attended school, but September has always seemed like a time to pause for a moment, take stock of where we have been, and forge ahead into another season.

Every year, in September, the Center begins a new fiscal year with a new plan, new hopes, new concerns, and new goals for our work. If this year is any different, it is only in the height and breadth of our aspirations for the coming year.

So I ask you to take a moment to do one of the most important things you can to help us achieve our shared vision for rural America. Turn to a neighbor, colleague, or friend and ask, “Do you read these folks?” Ask them if you can send us their contact information or help them sign up online at http://www.cfra.org/signup.

If everyone who reads this would encourage two or three friends to sign up, we would be on our way to a great year, just as it is beginning.
