On June 2-4, 2016, more than 1,500 people will be in Madison, Wis. for the 8th National Farm to Cafeteria Conference. Will you be one of them? If so, you should register before March 31 to take advantage of early bird pricing!
This biennial event is hosted by the National Farm to School Network. The Center for Rural Affairs is the Midwest Lead for the network. We also have a strong connection through our work to bring Farm to School to rural schools across our home state of Nebraska.
The conference theme this year is Moving Forward Together. You can expect to join people from innovative local food partnerships across the country. Whether it's cafeterias in schools and early child care sites, colleges and universities, hospitals, prisons, and other institutional settings, meals are served to tens of millions of Americans every day.
As part of the farm to cafeteria movement, you're at the forefront of the fight to end obesity and strengthen local food systems. Attendees of the conference will learn best practices, network with like-minded communities, and bring home creative solutions that will help to nourish people and the economy.
Early bird discounts are available through March 31. So register today!
