LEXINGTON, NEBRASKA – Community members are invited to attend a Chamber Coffee conversation in Lexington, organized by the Center for Rural Affairs, Dawson Area Development, Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The discussion on diversity and inclusion,“Working Together, Celebrating Each Other,” will occur Thursday, March 19, from 9 to 10 a.m., at Madeline's Café and Bakery, 501 N. Washington St., in Lexington.

“We welcome you to this interactive conversation and vision for future inclusion efforts in Lexington and surrounding communities," said Gladys Godinez, community organizer with the Center for Rural Affairs. “We have the opportunity to showcase what the future of diverse youth looks like, and to lead rural Nebraska in entrepreneurship opportunities and innovation. Our population has so much to offer to the arts, academics, and the economy.”

Guest speaker Yesenia Peck, board president of the Nebraska Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion work in Nebraska, will share key advice to helping communities with their inclusion goals.
