A leading force engaging people and ideas in building a better future for rural America.
I am an Iowan, and though I grew up mostly in the Des Moines area, I have fond memories of running around my dad's hometown of Salix (pop. 363) as a kid, where we would go often to visit great-grandma. Working on a small organic orchard in Adel, Iowa, after college furthered my growing interest in the issues that affect farming families, small towns, and the land they live on.
After spending a few years working on regulatory policy in Washington, D.C., I am excited to move back closer to home. I'll be working to promote economic development and address health issues in rural Nebraska. I'm excited to get to work to help strengthen the state's rural communities.
