Money raised during this drive will go toward our fight against food insecurity in rural America. Roughly 17 percent of rural households in America are food insecure, meaning they don’t have access to food that allows them to live a healthy or active lifestyle.
Our supporters have helped raise over $100,000 dollars during our Giving Tuesday drives the past five years. Donors like you helped fund resources and education people need to grow their own food and to support their families and local economies. In that time, we’ve increased the number of families reached from 40 to 462, and expanded programming to include: student-run greenhouses at schools, beginning beekeeper programs, and a conference helping people get their food-based businesses off the ground.
