About:  Focusing on retaining talent and building collaborative teams in the workplace while giving individuals tangible take-aways to implement in their own areas of work and community is the objective of this year’s summit.

Featuring sessions on leadership, personal development, team building, and conflict resolution, this day-long summit is the perfect refresher for seasoned leaders and a great way to develop new employees.

Jessica Cabán, Center Community Organizer Associate is a breakout speaker focused on civity and will talk about how to deepen conversations, the importance of storytelling, and story-listening, putting differences on the table, and folding in conversations across differences in community gatherings.

For additional guidance and skills building opportunities for those on nonprofit boards, a masterclass is being offered as a half-day, hands-on workshop taking place consecutively during the morning breakout session.

It was created for board members, nonprofit board veterans and those new to board service. Participants will be able to identify areas of strength and opportunities to improve their own board service and create a plan to take action.

When: Thursday, Oct. 19, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
