About: Since Practical Farmers of Iowa (PFI) was founded 1985, the annual conference has been a keystone event for sharing knowledge, building connections, and celebrating agriculture in Iowa–and good food! As the conference grows to more than 1,000 attendees, organizers are pleased to offer three pre-conference short courses, 70-plus farmer-led sessions on a wide variety of agricultural topics, 90-plus exhibitors, locally sourced meals, and a spirit of curiosity and community.

Things to look forward to:

  • Reuniting in person with old friends, and making new ones
  • Conference meals and snacks sourced from PFI members and local businesses
  • A Saturday morning keynote by farmer and ecologist Eric Lee-Mäder
  • Three pre-conference short courses
  • 70-plus farmer-led sessions, including panels, roundtables, and lightning talks
  • Networking in the Exhibitor Hall with more than 90 businesses and organizations
  • Family-friendly registration prices and child care provided
  • Friday evening cocktail hour and dinner following storytelling
  • Available sessions in Spanish

Registration deadline: Thursday, Jan. 2, for a reduced rate. Walk-ins are welcome.
