Maureen Timblin
Senior Grants Manager Associate

I help secure the grant funds that make it possible for Center staff to continue improving and expanding services to help our rural communities thrive and grow. The Center applies for funding from private and government sources, and I manage active grants and keep tabs on the requirements throughout the life of each one.

Getting a grant awarded brings a sense of accomplishment that comes from working with our fantastic team. We all enjoy the benefits of the work our teams do, and seeing the positive results of their efforts makes it all worthwhile.

During my three decades working in city government, most of my time was spent with the Sioux City Transit System. In that capacity, I managed the office operations, worked with government-funded grants, and assisted patrons and employees.

I thought my knowledge and experience working with grants and the government would be beneficial to the Center. When I learned about the various services and opportunities they offer to rural communities that improve and strengthen America’s families, farmers, and businesses, I knew this was where I wanted to be.

Rural America has a special place in my heart. I grew up on a farm in western Iowa, and I think the heart of America is absolutely beautiful and bountiful. The unpretentious achievements of our agriculture folks continue to improve our lives generation after generation.
