LYONS, NEBRASKA – Small business owners or those looking to start a small business in northeast Nebraska, are invited to “Building Northeast Nebraska Businesses.” This free, online event is hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs.
Four sessions will be held twice to give participants an opportunity to attend multiple sessions.
- “Two Keys to a Successful New Business—Business Planning & Bookkeeping,” Tuesday, April 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Thursday, April 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- “Understanding Cottage Food Law,” Tuesday, April 6, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and Thursday, April 8, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
- “Business Acceleration Through Social Media,” Tuesday, April 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Thursday, April 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- “Finding Financing & the Microenterprise Tax Credit,” Tuesday, April 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and Thursday, April 8, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
“Those who attend will learn business basics such as financing opportunities, bookkeeping, social media marketing, and writing business plans,” said Justin Carter, project associate for the Center for Rural Affairs. “There will also be a session on Nebraska's cottage food law for those vendors.”
