BROKEN BOW, NEBRASKA - The Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center along with partnering organizations will host a five-week Business Plan Basics course beginning Monday, Feb. 6 through Monday, March 6. Each session will run from 6 to 9 p.m.
Sessions will be held at Custer Public Power District office, 625 E. South “E” St., Broken Bow, Neb. The instructor for the class is Mr. Rick Nelson, MBA.
The business planning workshop series will focus on marketing, promotion/advertising, financial management, customer relations and goal setting. The Center collaborates with the University of Nebraska EDGE Program in utilizing the NxLevel Micro-Entrepreneurs curriculum called "Business Plan Basics."
"Planning is a key to success in business, and these five hands-on exploratory sessions are designed for those thinking of starting a business, businesses that need a boost and business owners considering exiting the business," said Monica Braun, of the Center for Rural Affairs. “Sessions will cover important information to complete a business plan.”
There is a registration fee that includes the course materials. Scholarships are available to those who qualify. The deadline to register is Thursday, Feb. 2.
Partner organizations for this course include the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce, Custer Economic Development Corporation and Sargent Economic Development Corporation.
The Center provides lending, training, networking and technical assistance opportunities for startup and existing small businesses.
