SUPERIOR, NEBRASKA – A workshop for business owners interested in learning about everything involved in the employee hiring process is set for Wednesday, Jan. 8, in Superior, hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs, Superior Chamber of Commerce, and J'Nan Ensz.
“Hiring and New Employees” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., at Superior Estates Winery, 200 W. 15th St., in Superior.
“Business owners may not be aware of what questions they should ask when hiring a new employee,” said Kim Preston, Center for Rural Affairs Lending Services Director. “What’s involved with hiring a new employee? Are in you in compliance? In this seminar, we’ll answer these questions and more.”
Attendees will learn about paperwork to complete when hiring a new employee; employer reporting requirements for various federal and state government agencies; payroll taxes; workers’ compensation insurance; and overtime rules.
The presenter is J’Nan Ensz, a certified public accountant and managing member of Accounting & Business Consulting Group, LLC, near Beatrice, Nebraska.
