SCHUYLER, NEBRASKA – Entrepreneurs looking to learn basic computer skills are invited to attend a computer basics class, offered in Spanish. This free event is organized by the Center for Rural Affairs.
“Basic Computer Training in Spanish” starts Tuesday, July 24, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and continues at the same time on July 26, 31, and Aug. 2. The event will be held at the Homestead Center - Conference Room, 1119 B St., in Schuyler.
“This is a basic computer class for those who are new to using computers and the internet,” said Veronica Spindola, Latino loan specialist with the Center. “These classes will help business owners get more familiar and comfortable with the different ways you can use a computer.”
The course will be conducted in Spanish. Leading the class is computer instructor and technical assistance specialist, Abel Rivera. Rivera has taught computer courses at Northeast Community College, and specializes in one-on-one assistance with small business owners, including handling software, social media marketing, and advertising.
“One of our goals of this workshop is to increase the use of computers within the business to help business owners with their record keeping,” said Spindola.
