Grand Island, Neb. - A “Sales Acceleration” class designed for small business owners to learn techniques on how to increase sales and expand business is being offered by Nebraska Extension in collaboration with Nebraska Enterprise Fund and the Center for Rural Affairs.

Griselda Rendon, Latino Loan Specialist with the Center for Rural Affairs, will be offering her expertise during the class. Rendon will provide guidance and assistance to those wanting to start a business. Or for participants with an existing business, she will be able to provide those individuals with information on resources available along with information on financing options. Assistance with business plan and financial projections may also be provided on a one on one basis.
 
Topics discussed during this three series training include:

  • Marketing
  • Talent Management
  • Systems

After completing the series of three classes, monitoring will be given to each of the participants, one on one, for the next six months to offer technical assistance and auditing.

The Center for Rural Affairs provides lending, training, networking, and technical assistance opportunities for start-up and existing small businesses.

The Center receives funding from the Nebraska Business and Innovation Act, Community Development Block Grants through the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Small Business Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, Peter Kiewit Foundation and other sources. The Women's Business Center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
