Small business trainings set in Pender

PENDER, NEBRASKA – Several free workshops are scheduled for local entrepreneurs and business owners in the Pender area. These events are sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs and House Memorial Library.

Each session is limited to 10 attendees, and will take place at House Memorial Library, 220 S. Thurston Ave., in Pender.

  • Basic QuickBooks: Thursday, Aug. 9 and Thursday, Aug. 16, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced QuickBooks: Monday, Aug. 20, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced Excel: Monday, Aug. 27, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of a small business owner’s business,” said Kim Preston, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center interim director. “Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

The use of laptops and software will be provided.
