As a loan specialist, I am the main point of contact for clients looking to get a small business or mortgage loan. I also help them with one-on-one business training. I work with clients in central Nebraska to strengthen their skills and help them be as successful as possible.
The Center's goals and mission mean a lot to me. My whole family is full of entrepreneurs and after coming to the U.S. in 2007, we struggled quite a bit as we did not know about the resources available. Now, I like to think I am helping families and dreams similar to ours.
Though I started working at my parents' businesses at a young age, professionally, I began working at a bank in Broken Bow, Nebraska, as an intern when I was 17. Since then, I have taken on various roles in banking and lending, working my way up from bank teller to mortgage loan funder, mortgage loan processor, mortgage loan originator, and loan officer.
Being born in India, rural life has always mattered to me. After moving to Broken Bow, I learned the importance of rural America firsthand. I feel honored to work for a place that spotlights rural and underserved communities. I think once you spend some time in rural Nebraska, it's hard not to advocate for it.
Outside of work, my husband and I enjoy being with our two dogs, Jameson and Billie, and our cat, Blueberry. I love to cook, read, catch up on TV shows, and spend time with my family and friends. I love all animals and I am on the board for the Kearney Area Animal Shelter.
