My role offers me the opportunity to work one-on-one with clients. I assist new and existing business owners with lending options, one-on-one counseling, grants, and more. I also offer guidance to clients who have been considering purchasing a home, as well as help homeowners handle financing for emergency home repairs.
With all areas of my job, the most important part has always been and will continue to be developing relationships with my clients, economic developers, bankers, realtors, city officials, and everyone else I work with.
Rural Americans are so friendly and eager to help one another. I have great pride in being part of a team that makes a difference in rural communities. I’m grateful for the relationships I have developed visiting rural towns, and for being able to help my clients.
My husband and I have been happily married for 29 years and are recently empty nesters and soon-to-be grandparents. I like spending time with family and traveling, whether for work or personal.
Q&A
Would you rather take a month-long vacation, or have an extra day off every week?
An extra day off every week. By taking a month-long vacation I would miss my job, co-workers, and clients.
What book has impacted you the most?
While I travel for work, I listen to a lot of audiobooks. The book that has impacted me the most would be “Leaders Look Within: Own Your Heart to Live a Life of Gratitude,” by Brent Pohlman.
If you could have a superpower, what would you choose, and why?
The superpower I would choose is to be able to see into the future. I always want to know what will happen before something happens, and if there is something I don't like about the outcome, I would be able to change that by knowing the future.
