I was born in Mexico and at the age of 5 moved to the U.S. West Point, Nebraska, has been my home for many years and I am raising my family there. I greatly enjoy the sense of community and peace rural communities have to offer.
I graduated from Wayne State College with a human service counseling degree. I am bilingual, therefore a lot of my work has been connecting Spanish speakers with critical services. I am thrilled to be part of the Center for Rural Affairs.
When I am not at work, you can find me with my family. My husband, Andrew, and I have two children, Andrew Alexander and Leilani Zulema. As a family, we enjoy spending time together outdoors. My hobbies are listening to podcasts, watching movies, and volunteering in the community.
