Thanks to guest author Gene D. Knapp, with SCORE, for the kind words about the Center for Rural Affairs' program.
SCORE has worked very successfully with the Center in Nebraska to jointly help entrepreneurs succeed. SCORE is a 50+ year old not-for-profit, 501(c)3, resource center of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Our mission is to help entrepreneurs succeed in starting small businesses and in growing their small businesses.
SCORE in Nebraska has worked very successfully with the Center to further both your and our missions. In particular Juan Sandoval has been working very successfully with our Columbus, Nebraska, and Norfolk, Nebraska SCORE chapters to better coordinate our joint efforts in providing one-on-one mentoring leading to strong business models, business plans, and financial projections.
Over the years we have been trying to be more active in the Latino community as you have with the Center's Latino Business Center. In particular our Greater Omaha Chapter has had a number of initiatives in the south Omaha community.
In the future if there is any way that you think SCORE in Nebraska can be more effective in helping entrepreneurs or working with the Center, please contact me.
Congratulations,
Gene D. Knapp
