I’m proud to play a small part in keeping communities vibrant places for the diverse people who call rural America home.
Prior to joining the Center, I spent a decade as a newspaper reporter, then worked for 18 months as a marketing director of a for-profit business. The passion for storytelling and community that drew me to those roles will be an asset for communicating a consistent and positive message in outreach, grant writing, and donor cultivation as development director for the Center.
My wife and I live in Bronson, Iowa, a community of about 320 people. We have two beautiful daughters who love playing on the hay bales across the road from our home. When I have spare time, I enjoy watermelon seed spitting contests, gardening, and reading horror novels.
